Is there a charge?
We charge nothing to handle the switch from your current provider to the new “free market” company. Once you are connected to your new supplier and as the market changes and better offers become available there is an on going management fee (for acting as a bridge between you and the electricity companies) which is collected in two installments of €26.50 inclusive of IVA. This is collected by direct debit usually in January and July.
How long will it take to swap providers?
This is the only part of the process that we have no control. From the point of signing, you should expect to receive two further bills from your current provider before the switch over is completed. That said, the grid company has long accepted they have to release the account of people wishing to switch and are getting quicker and quicker.
Can I switch to another electrical supplier, or cancel my service at any time?
Yes. We are confident that you will not find an electricity supplier offering rates lower than ours however, you may switch or cancel your service at any time with no penalty, we only ask for 30 days notice in writing (email or fax is fine). Your account will need to be fully paid up before it is cancelled.
